IELTS- The International English Language Testing System, is an English proficiency test required mainly by the English-speaking countries, like USA, UK, AUSTRALIA, CANADA etc. to apply for work or studies

The test is conducted in paper -pen method and computer based too. The students can opt for either of these. The exam result of computer based is published quickly. Both the tests need to be taken from test centers only

There are two types of tests-ACADEMIC and GENERAL, the test has four sections-Listening, Writing, Reading and Speaking

If you are looking for higher studies abroad, then you need to take Academic test. The time duration is 2hrs and 45 mins

The required band score generally is above 6.5 overall, not less than 5.5 in each band.
