New Zealand offers 3 years Stay back so Canada and NZ features are similar to the students.
- New Zealand has made post-study work (PSW) visa rights easier for international students. Now students don’t need a job offer from an employer to apply for post study work visa.
- Students doing Bachelors, PG Diploma, Masters and Ph.D. programs in NZ can stay on PSW for at least 3 years.
- Students doing diploma level 4, 5, 6, 7 in Auckland can apply for 1 year PSW. Graduate Diploma students studying in Auckland working towards registration with a professional or trade body get 1+1 additional year towards PSW.
- Students doing diploma level 4, 5, 6, 7 outside Auckland can apply for 2 year PSW (provided study is completed by December 2021). Graduate Diploma students studying outside Auckland working towards registration with a professional or trade body get 2+1 additional year towards PSW (the provided study is completed by December 2021).
- If a student is doing Level 8 program that is listed on the Long-term skills shortage list, their spouse is also eligible for an open work visa and their children are eligible for free domestic (within NZ) schooling.
