The footer of a butterfly in the Amazon rainforests can cause a hurricane that wanders half of the world. Even the smallest actions and decisions have the power to significantly influence the flow of life. Our choices or actions above the size of a butterfly’s wing can create a much better future.
This is why we adopted the slogan of “The butterfly effect” for the university hoping that this little step will bear great results in the future, and named it “Atlas University”.
About Atlas University
Istanbul Atlas University completed its foundation year in 2018 under the Turkish balcon Education Culture and Health Foundation. The university started its academic life in 2020-21, taking its strong place in the Ministry of Higher Education system.
Atlas University provides education in 62 different programs in total, including 26 undergraduate programs under 5 faculties, 20 master programs, 3 Ph.D. programs under 1 institute, and 13 associate degree programs under 1 vocational school. Atlas Vadi campus is at the service of our valuable students with its specific laboratories, library, conference hall, and equipped R&D centers that host scientific research projects. In addition, modern campus life is offered to the students with large spaces and equipment that allow social, cultural, and sports activities.

Research Attentive University
Atlas University ensures that scientific potential is transferred to the industry by encouraging R&D studies of its academicians and students. Academicians and students have the opportunity to work on their industrial production projects in University Research Centers and Faculty Laboratories. These projects are introduced to investors through the Technology Transfer Office (TTO). The office assists in-licensing and commercializing projects. Istanbul Atlas University continues to work rapidly to design research, commercialize intellectual property rights, and increase the entrepreneurship and innovation index.
Laboratories
The university laboratories are prepared according to the needs of the university education programs and departments allowing students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice under the supervision of academicians.
Within the emergence of applied courses during the distance education processes Atlas Glass had been brought into service so that students could easily transfer their applications done in the technical laboratories and establish a practical follow up.
Students Clubs
Many clubs are organized to assist students in their social, cultural, sportive, artistic, and personal development activities. Clubs operate under the consultancy of the university’s academic and administrative staff. These clubs create friendly environments that allow students to spend time in line with their interests to develop their hobbies or acquire new hobbies during extracurricular times. Club members improve their communication, teamwork, and organizational skills through the events they organize. Our university has more than 30 student clubs and these clubs will increase with new activities to be established by students in the coming years.
International Opportunities
Atlas University goes over international protocols in which academicians and students can engage in educational international activities abroad. The students who study abroad through exchange programs such as Erasmus+ and Global Exchange will gain social and professional experiences by getting to know new cultures.
Career Center
Atlas University enable the students to gain various business skills with the help of Atlas Career Center, increase their key competencies, gain individual awareness and take the first step in business world relations within the scope of internship and part-time work to shed light on the reflection of the professional world.
Campus Life
Atlas campus offers you a modern campus life with its indoor and outdoor facilities, summer cinema, sports fields, gyms, and beverage establishments on its surrounding streets, located in the center of Istanbul.
